Air New Zealand is flying Finance Minister Grant Robertson to New York this evening as part of a business delegation to the United States.
Jacinda Ardern will meet travel media and appear on The Late Show in New York to help drum up visitation from the US.
Around 30 tourism operators and 24 inbound tour operators attended this year’s Top of the South trade event which was held outside Auckland for the first time.
Spending by international visitors helped push New Zealand’s goods and services trade surplus up to $4.2bn for the June 2018 year, up $375 million from the previous year.
