12th June 2018 Mt Hutt / Ski Fields
More than 1,500 skiers and snowboarders hit the slope on Friday for the opening day of Mt Hutt’s season.
Not only officially New Zealand’s best ski resort two years in a row, plus the best snowfall at a Kiwi ski field this year but now also the highest altitude spa pool in the country.
Hassle-free Tours, Christchurch Adventure Park, and Mt Hutt Ski Area are among the finalists announced in the Champion Canterbury Business Awards 2017.
New Zealand’s Best Ski Resort, Mt Hutt in Canterbury, opens today, marking the start of the South Island ski season.
For the first time all the Central Otago ski areas – Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Snow Farm, Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone – will host the Winter Games NZ.
The lifts will be spinning on Saturday March the 4th at Mt Hutt for the ‘Discover Mt Hutt’ family open day; celebrating Mt Hutt’s second award for best New Zealand Ski Resort, at the same time helping Canterbury charity Māia Health Foundation raise funds for a future-proofed rooftop helipad at Christchurch Hospital.
