Trade Development Manager NZ/AU – GO Rentals

Join our global Trade sales team in supporting our strong, existing relationships and bring your experience and networks to further expand your territory across the New Zealand and Australian markets.

We are looking for someone already established within the tourism industry. Car rental experience is preferable but not necessary, full training will be provided to the right candidate.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities. 
  • Provide support to key accounts and strengthen relationships to achieve growth with established, and new Trade and OTA Agents.  
  • Develop & implement business plans which include territory sales analysis.
  • Provide sales opportunities for Agents through product training, client presentations and product information sessions. 
  • Maintain and manage the sales collateral and support material for the Trade Channel. 
  • Manage budget within guidelines. 
  • Assist the Agent Support Team in Reservations as and when required. 
  • Formation and planning of trade and direct promotion activity.  
  • Be available outside standard business hours as point of escalation for Trade and OTA related enquiries. 
  • Be available for meetings with partners in other time zones as required. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

WHAT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 5+ years of proven sales experience within Tourism – Preferably B2B.
  • Proven success achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, from prospecting and development to account management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global sales team.
  • Experience with trade shows and events
  • Full driver’s license

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience within the rental car industry, with B2B experience
  • Experience working with Wholesale and Inbound partners
  • Qualification in business, sales, or related field
  • 7+ years of proven sales experience
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and ability to analyse data
